Erin operates a small private practice psychology clinic at WellSpace, Prahran, Level 1/9 Carlton St, Prahran VIC 3181, for clients aged 16 years and older delivering comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments and brief psychological therapy.

Erin offers:

• Brief psychological therapy (6-10 sessions)

• Comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments (e.g., autism, ADHD)

• Industry, organisational one-off consultations

• Neurodiversity-, strengths-based, trauma- and culturally aware approach (see Approach below)

Therapy

• Erin is committed to ethical psychological service provision. She is only able to provide brief (i.e., 6-10 sessions maximum) therapy supports due to her commitments to research, public engagements, and advisory roles.

• 50 minute consultation is charged at $280. This is aligned with the 2025-2026 AAPi Recommended Fee Guide for Psychologists and adjusted to support accessibility.

• Medicare rebates for psychological therapy is available, under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, when referral is made by treating GP, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year (Item 80110).

• Please note, a gap fee remains with Medicare rebate.

Comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments (referral must be made by treating clinician, e.g., GP, psychiatrist, paediatrician)

• Erin accepts referrals for comprehensive neurodevelopmental assessments, including:

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Specific Learning Differences (e.g., dyslexia)

• Referrals are accepted in the context of multi-disciplinary teams, as aligned with the Australian Evidence-Based Clinical Practice Guidelines for ADHD, and the National Guideline for the assessment and diagnosis of autism in Australia.

• This is also a practical policy to ensure maximum resource efficiency for clients, such as in the context of ADHD where medical management might be sought which a psychologist in not able to provide.

• This means that referrals for assessments must be made to Erin from the supporting GP, pediatrician, psychiatrist, psychologist, allied health, or other professional only.

• Assessments are typically charged at 4-6 sessions.

• Unfortunately self-referrals are not accepted at this time for neurodevelopmental assessments.

• Medicare rebates for neurodevelopmental assessments are available for clients under 25 years, who are referred by the treating pediatrician or psychiatrist under Complex Neurodevelopmental Conditions for assessment (Item 82000).

• Please note, a gap fee remains with Medicare rebate.

Erin is committed to neurodiversity affirming, cultural- and trauma informed psychological practices, noting that as of December 2025 this now a mandated core competency for all Australian psychologists.

In practice, this means:

• Erin is deeply engaged with contemporary scholarship regarding neurodiversity approaches, including ensuring self-determination for neurodivergent people, and valuing, respecting and nurturing neurodevelopmental differences.

• Collaborative approach is adopted in practice, including seeking and adhering to client’s preferences regarding terminology, centring client’s perspectives, experiences, and goals throughout assessment processes, and respecting the diversity of views that shape individuals’ experiences. This includes adapting to communication preference of client in session (e.g., diversity of eye gaze preferences are respected, Alternative and Augmentive Communication accommodations).

• Focusing on environmental drivers of mental health, given environments are often inadequate in supporting neurodevelopmental differences. For example, environmental sensory adjustments may be an area of exploration in context of anxiety, alongside increasing individual management techniques.

• Erin recognizes the central role of cultural, societal, and historical experiences such as trauma, discrimination, and displacement have upon mental health and wellbeing. Erin ensures the focus of psychological approach is deeply respectful and responsive to such experiences.

• Erin is committed to ongoing learning from, and advocating alongside, neurodivergent people and communities, including revising psychological approaches relative to new evidence and guidance from lived experience and other expertise.

• Psychologists cannot prescribe medications, nor provide medical guidance for clients.

• Erin does not provide court reports.

• Unfortunately Erin does not provide NDIS services currently.
