Erin Hoare is an academic, psychologist, and former professional athlete. Her work focuses on strengthening inclusion to improve mental health.

Erin is Associate Professor of Mental Health, Strategic Program Lead, Manna Institute University of New England, and Honorary Fellow, Deakin University. She was a professional athlete across two codes in netball and AFLW. Her research focuses on addressing major social determinants of mental health including strengthening inclusion, specifically in the area of neurodiversity. She is in the top 5% of world experts for depression. She has published >50 scientific papers including Lancet Psychiatry, and Lancet Child and Adolescent Health. She was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship (relinquished due to COVID-19 disruptions) and holds various leadership and director roles at state- national- and international levels.
