Women Deliver 2026, Victorian Stakeholder Engagement Forum

In April 2026, the Women Deliver Conference will be regionally hosted for the first time — by the Oceanic Pacific — in Narrm (Melbourne), Australia, on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation.

As part of her role as Our Equal State Reference Group member, Office for Women, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, Victorian Government, on Thursday 21 August, Erin attended and engaged in the Women Deliver 2026, Victorian Stakeholder Engagement Forum alongside 200 local leaders and advocates across the state.

The aim of the forum was to support local stakeholders to engage with this globally significant event. The forum was collaborative and productive space for attendees from across the Victorian gender equality sector to:

• develop a shared understanding of current and emerging priorities for local stakeholders
• reflect on Victoria’s gender equality strengths and position on the global stage
• centre the knowledge and leadership of First Nations and Pasifika women
• identify ways Victorian stakeholders can collectively leverage the opportunities created by WD2026, and ensure the conference has a lasting gender equality impact in Victoria
• identify shared opportunities to engage with the conference including through the official side event and concurrent session application processes.

“The forum was a gathering place for listening and learning, and for centering voices to maximize impact for this global event. This is an incredible honour for Victoria to host this international event. I look forward to attending in 2026 and collaborating with the other delegates to ensure lasting impact.”
